It feels great to ship an app!

…It feels even greater to do it all by myself!

In December 2014, I launched my very first iOS app. I spent a few weeks prior to that learning and finding my way around Xcode and Swift. Soon after launching, the app got some traction and I got super busy helping people with their problems. This was exciting! I was so thrilled, I started planning V2 and somewhere along the way I very naively lost everything by doing a git reset --hard. No backups either. I know rookie move!

Since then, I’ve been using my Swift skills for simple prototypes but I’ve always wanted to ship another app to the store. Finding time however, between a demanding job and family was a bit difficult.

Enter July 2016. My wife and daughter were traveling a couple of weeks before me for a holiday, which gave me exactly two weekends to work on something new. This was the only time I could dedicate to get a new app finished… and so I did!

Introducing FNSH

FNSH is a very simple timer/task management app to help you focus and get your tasks done on time. It works best when you keep the app running and in your line of sight so you have an eye on how much time you have left while working on your task. Its the simplest thing I could conceptualize, design and build over two weekends!

Download the app from getfnsh.com. I’d love some feedback!
